Keira Knightley

Knightley was born in London and was the daughter of Will Knightley and Sharman Mcdonald. Her first agent when she was just six years old and began working in commercials and TV. She was in 1999 when she portrayed Sabe as Sabe in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Following her international success as a character in the fantasy show Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003 in the role of Elizabeth Swann (a swashbuckling footballer) and was able to appear in the sports film Bend It Like Beckham in where she played a tomboy. She starred on the show Love Actually, a romance Love Actually and was called a promising young woman. Knightley got an Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005, for her performance as Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine of the historical romance Pride & Prejudice. Knightley also appeared in a number of period films, including Atonement (2007 which was a relationship story), The Duchess, (2008) and Anna Karenina, (2012). Also, she performed the role of a socialite, Georgiana in The Duchess. The actress also ventured into contemporary dramas. Begin Again, (2013) saw her play the role of a singer who is aspiring to be one, while Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, (2014) saw her in medical school. Knightley returned to historical films acting as Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) and earned her a nomination to The Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress She also played the eponymous writer in Colette (2018).
